My review:-
This book is a sequel to “Life is what you make it”. The first book ended when Ankita came out of the mental health hospital, and it also tells about what happens after 15 years, but it doesn’t say what happens precisely after she comes out of the MHH. So, that is covered in this book.
Now, let me tell the story continued in the second book. Ankita is living with her loving parents in Mumbai. She left her MBA course and is not on medication. Ankita goes to another girls’ college, makes friends, and does her dream course: creative writing. She was enjoying her life, but one day she finds a book in the library of her college, which she reads and goes into terrifying darkness. She gets utterly depressed after reading that book.
Meanwhile, her boyfriend from the past comes into her life and adds to the trouble. Also, she started to journal as she was fighting with her thoughts.
So, questions..!!
What is the book all about? Will Ankita be able to fight the ordeal a second time? Will she get better at her life? Do read this compelling sequel to the iconic “Life is what you make it” by Preeti Shenoy.
Ending notes:-
I loved the book as much as I loved its first part. I devoured it completely from start to finish. The book talks about mental health issues and how your mind can be your best friend or your enemy. Ankita is a very strong character created by the author. Ankita has a very nasty past, and because of that, she was not able to love someone in her present life. She loved Vaibhav, but now she can’t reciprocate her feelings for him. I loved how the author has written both books and how much effort went into writing them. The writing style is so good, and the cover of the book is gorgeous. I loved the narration and the description of the girls’ college. I felt totally connected to the plot. I enjoyed reading all the fun of the girls’ college and other things in the book. Two lessons that I have learned from this book are: one, you should not trust anyone easily; and second, you should take care of your mental health because it is very important to keep a check on your thoughts and try to think positively whenever your mind thinks negatively. Lastly, I want to recommend this novel to everyone. Thank you.
