My Review:-

There is a boy named Vasu who lives with his family, and there are four members in his family, including him: his sister Kavya, his mother, and his father. Vasu is a very dark-complexioned boy, and when he goes to school, he is mocked by his classmates for his skin color. But on the inner side, he is very kind-hearted and amiable. He usually faces this kind of mockery in his school, but her sister Kavya always listens to him; she always understands him, tells him that he is no less than anyone, and encourages him to do anything in his life. I should tell you that Kavya is older than Vasu. In his class, no one sits near Vasu, but Radhika, a lovely and beautiful girl, sits beside him, and from there they become friends. As the story progresses, Radhika seems to leave, becoming the queen in the drama that is to be held in the school. This thing impresses Vasu very much. He falls for her and secretly starts loving her.

Furthermore, there are lots of scenes in the novel where Vasu has to get embarrassed because of his dark skin color, but he never gives up. Somehow he completed schooling but never left Radhika’s side and was always there for her whenever she needed him. Radhika chose to do a BCA, and Vasu chose to do a UG in hotel management. Also, I would like to tell you that they both lived in the same locality, so even if their colleges were different, they still met each other occasionally.

Radhika’s father has a habit of drinking heavily.

She and her family used to be tense about this, and Vasu knew all of this. Eventually, he died of heavy alcohol consumption. But before his death, he wanted Radhika to get married, but that didn’t happen. She married but after his death. Well, that is another story you will get to know when you read the book.

At hard times, Vasu and his family gave condolences to Radhika’s family. Vasu was always there for Radhika as her best friend.

After graduation, Vasu joined a company, and Radhika married Sanju and went to the US. Vasu was very hurt, but Kavya consoled him somehow.

Kavya, too, joined an IT company after her UG was completed. So, if Radhika marries Sanju then what happens to Vasu’s love for her? What happens further in the story? Will Vasu get the love of his life?

Is racism justified in the society we live in? Is discrimination against dark skin good? Think about it.

Ending notes:-

When the author announced that he was going to publish this novel, I was thrilled to read it because the storyline attracted me a lot. I am the kind of person who is against any sort of discrimination related to caste, color, creed, or religion, so I just love how the author has penned the story around racism. We know in our society that people usually judge anyone based on their color complexion. That is completely wrong. No one is superior or inferior on the basis of their skin color. So, please stop discrimination against color; it is a message to everyone.

Okay, so if I talk about the story, it is exquisite and wonderful. I just loved the story and narration. The writing style is so good. I read four books by Ajay K. Pandey earlier. This time, I was very patient throughout the reading process. I like his writing style and his theme choice for the story. This 198-page novel will make you very emotional and you cry at some scenes as well. Every time we get to read something fresh by his side, Lastly, I recommend the novel to all the lovely readers out there. Thank you.
