[Book Review] “When Love Came Calling” by Preeti Shenoy

There are two main characters in the book: Puja and Arush. Puja is 19, confused, energetic, and fiery, whereas Arush is 20, Studious, careful, and shy. They were sent by their respective parents to do some volunteer work at Wayanad Kerela.

When they met, their differences were very obvious to each other. With no internet or any sort of distraction, they get to know each other and slowly fall in love. But falling in love and staying in love is not the same thing. The story also explains that a guy named Sujit, who was a classmate of Puja, planted drugs in her bag. A whole lot of drama happened after that, which you will read about. But in all of these, Arush was the constant support for puja; of course, her parents supported her too. The novel also describes the scenic beauty of the place, how they spent their time at Ashwaty Bhawan, how they interacted with children, their projects, and how they went on a trek.
