[Book Review] “The Coaktail Of love” By Dhruv Maloo

This is the story of two best friends, Samar and Ashna. Samar falls in love with his best friend and decides to tell his feelings to her at the graduation farewell party. He proposes to Ashna, but she can’t reciprocate his feelings or friendzone him. Also, Samar was his good friend, so she didn’t want to ruin her friendship with him. Samar’s heart broke, and he thought of ending his obsession with Ashna and trying to do something productive with his life. His brother Divish suggested a job, but at that point, he had some other thing in mind, as he was good at cartooning. On the other side, Ashna got a job at Biztech, and she started working there. Aman, the boss, was impressed with her work, and he also developed a crush on Ashna and proposed to her. She accepts the proposal and comes into a relationship with Aman. When Samar gets all of this, he feels shattered, and he decides to leave Delhi and do a job in Mumbai. But one fine day, Ashna got to know that Aman was hiding a lot of things from her, so she broke up with him, accusing him of trust issues. And in all of this, Maira was also involved. Also, Samar was trying to make new friends in Mumbai, so he found Maira on the Tinder app, and she was in Mumbai too. They decided to meet and spend some time together. She liked Samar’s company and started liking him. So, will this be the end for Samar and Ashna? Will Ashna ever realize that Samar can be more than his best friend?
